Morning Reporter, Local 24 News and CW 30 News
Jamie McGriff is the Morning Reporter for Local 24 News and CW 30 News. Before joining the team in 2013 she worked as the Morning Reporter and Midday Anchor for the CBS Affiliate TV station in Tulsa, Oklahoma. McGriff’s radio and television broadcast career has taken her to several other cities including Dallas-Fort Worth, Tyler, Texas and Las Vegas, Nevada. She has made national TV news appearances. The most recent happened in January, of 2016, for ABC’s Good Morning America. She gave two reports from Munford, Tennessee where one of the winners in the record Powerball Jackpot of nearly 1.6 billion dollars, lived. In 2011 she contributed a report for the CBS Evening News during coverage of the catastrophic EF5-rated tornado that struck Joplin, Missouri.
McGriff earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Oakwood University in Huntsville, Alabama where she studied Communications with emphasis on Electronic Media. She’s from Huntsville and enjoys being closer to her family now that she’s living in the Bluff City.
McGriff is active in the Memphis community. She reads to children on a weekly basis after school in Frayser, and makes a point to carve out time to emcee events.
