Roberta “Sue” Matthews, JD
Director of Gift Planning
Le Bonheur Foundation
“I love working in Gift Planning because you meet the nicest people—those who are willing to give to something they care about without ever meeting the people that they help.”
Those words from Roberta “Sue” Matthews, the Le Bonheur Foundation’s Director of Gift Planning, convey her enthusiasm and dedication to helping donors find the best way to support Le Bonheur through a planned gift.
Sue has more than two decades of experience working with individuals and families in estate and gift planning. Before joining the Le Bonheur Foundation in February 2009, she served as Director of Planned Giving at Rhodes College in Memphis for 13 years. Previously, she was a practicing attorney in Memphis, specializing in estate planning.
A graduate of Duke University, Sue earned a master’s degree in public affairs from the University of Texas and a law degree from the Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law at The University of Memphis.
“It is easy to ask people to support Le Bonheur,” Sue said. “Le Bonheur has delivered compassionate care to hundreds of thousands of patients for more than 50 years. It’s an invaluable resource for families throughout the Mid-South. I’m passionate about helping donors make wise decisions so their planned gift will help continue the Le Bonheur legacy.”
Sue is available to work with you and your financial planner to discuss and choose the gift from your estate or will that will be best for you, your loved ones, and the children who need Le Bonheur today and tomorrow.
